STUFF. We have more than we could ever need – or in the words of Dr Seuss – thneed. Here on this website are things that you may or may not thneed. Perhaps you happened on this website by chance through the fog of 0s and 1s which define our lives.
Given that this website has things to sell this is a conundrum. Without ‘stuff’ there would be no need to create or invent. We’d all be living in caves and wearing furs. All I can suggest is that the ethos here at Helen Smithson HQ is simply one of careful consumption not careless consumption. With this in mind, everything on this site from the Giclée papers to the jute twine, recycled boxes and tissue used for packaging is as ecologically-friendly as possible.

Beige. There's nothing wrong with beige, but here we like colour. We hope you will find something in our shop which enhances whatever environment you choose to live in.

Here’s a few of the things I’ve been getting up to for the past three decades. It’s a small selection but there is a lot more and not all of it is in the roof with the spiders, cobwebs and Christmas decorations.
